The President’s Commission on White House Fellowships recently announced the appointment of the 2011-2012 Class of White House Fellows. The Fellows come from diverse backgrounds, varied professions, and all have shown a strong commitment to public service and leadership.

Reggie grew up in Mequon, Wisconsin, and attended the University School of Milwaukee. Reginald lives in Harlem, New York, with his wife Tiffani and one-year-old daughter Madison. Selection as a White House Fellow is highly competitive and based on a record of professional achievement, evidence of leadership potential, and a proven commitment to public service. Each Fellow must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute meaningfully at senior levels in the Federal government. Throughout its history, since being created by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964, the program has fostered leaders in many fields. Those fields include government, business, media, medicine, education diplomacy and the military. Each year since its inception, 11 – 19 people are selected through a competitive, non-partisan process from an applicant pool that canrange from 1,000 to 3,000 people. The Fellows spend a year working full time with Senior White House Staff, Cabinet Secretaries and other top ranking government officials.

This unique opportunity to work within our nation’s government is designed to encourage active citizenship and a lifelong commitment to service. The Fellows take part in an education program designed to broaden their knowledge of leadership, policy formulation and current affairs. Community service is an essential element of the program. Fellows participate in service projects throughout the year in the Washington, DC area. Additional information about the White House Fellows program is available at
