Police Report: May 7

A 59-year-old Mequon man was arrested for possession of 5.6 grams of marijuana found in a backpack at the Clark Station, 10355 N. Port Washington Road, at 10:35 a.m. April 24. The man had ridden his bicycle to the station and left the backpack on a newspaper box. Police were called and found the marijuana along with the man's cellphone. He was identified and told to get his property at the station. When he arrived later that afternoon, he immediately identified the backpack as his and after looking inside said, "Yes, everything's here."


A 32-year-old Mequon man was arrested for drunken driving and speeding 56 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 5000 block of West Highland Road at 9:50 p.m. April 27. When stopped, the man was smoking and then started chewing gun and eating candy. When asked for his driver's license, he almost handed over a credit card but then found his license. After taking field sobriety he said, "It's over. I've failed." His blood alcohol content was 0.20.

A 48-year-old Mequon woman was arrested for drunken driving, refusal to take breath a test and resisting arrest after witnesses reported a possible drunken driver at the BP Station, 11100 N. Port Washington Road, at 4:25 p.m. May 1. The woman denied drinking, yelled profanities and then struggled with police including scratching the hand of an officer while grabbing for the officer's duty belt. Inside the squad car, she kicked at the windows.


A 51-year-old Mequon man was arrested for disorderly conduct in the 4000 block of West Canterbury Court at 1:30 p.m. May 1. The man drove into the driveway of the home where men were doing landscape work and yelled profanities at two of the men. He told police those men had recently worked for his landscape company. He admitted being angry and raising his voice.
