Jewelry valued in excess of $10,000 was taken from a condominium in the 12900 block of North Colony Drive between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. July 14. A patio door was pried open to gain entry. Some of the rooms were ransacked.

An attempted burglary was reported at Signature Auto Detailing, 10315 N. Port Washington Road, from July 14 to 16. Entry was gained but nothing reported taken.

About $45 cash was taken from the Picardy Shoe Parlor, 11035 N. Port Washington Road, on July 15 or 16. There was sign of forced entry.

About $1,000 cash was taken from the 10900 block of North Knightsbridge Drive before 6 p.m. July 18. A patio door was forced open to gain entry.


A $500 purse, a $200 wallet with $150 cash and other items including credit cards were taken from a car at Elite Fitness, 11616 N. Port Washington Road, between 9:15 and 10:20 a.m. July 9. A window was broken to gain entry.

Six steel angle brackets valued at $900 were taken when left next to a Dumpster at a construction site in the 10300 block of North Port Washington Road on July 11 or 12.

An 18-year-old Mequon man was arrested July 15 for the theft of a $350 bicycle from the 6100 block of West Mequon Road the afternoon of July 13.

A road bike was taken from a garage in the 10200 block of North Concord Drive on July 14 or 15.


A 23-year-old Grafton man was arrested for driving with a restricted controlled substance in his system, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving left of center, no proof of insurance and driving without license plate lamps in the 13100 block of North Port Washington Road at 1:05 a.m. July 14. When asked why he had blood shot eyes he said he was a cleaning man and worked with bleach. At least two pipes with residue were found along with 4.4 grams of marijuana in the glove box and 3.3 grams in a "Hello Kitty" purse. A 20-year-old Cedarburg woman, a passenger, was arrested for underage drinking.

A 71-year-old Mequon man was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, with a prior conviction, and driving while suspended after a witness reported "an elderly man" possibly selling drugs from his car in the 10900 block of North Port Washington Road at 2:15 p.m. July 18. The man drove away when police arrived but was stopped.


A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, driving after revocation, driving left of center, open intoxicants and speeding 55 mph in a 35 to 40 mph zone in the 9400 block of West County Line Road at 12:30 a.m. July 13. The man's preliminary breath test was 0.10 but "not a good sample" according to a police report and he was taken for a blood draw.

A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance and speeding 61 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 12200 block of North Port Washington Road at 8:40 p.m. July 13. Traces of marijuana were found scattered in the car and the man admitted smoking the drug earlier. The man had two cellphones and carried "lots of money," the amount not available.

A 25-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving, driving without a valid driver's license, blocking traffic and a warrant in the 1100 block of West Mequon Road at 2:20 a.m. July 15. The woman, who admitted having one drink, failed field sobriety tests and was taken for a blood draw.


The fraudulent use of a credit card was reported by Allure Intimate Apparel, 1505 W. Mequon Road, on July 11. On May 11, a man called and ordered $2,700 of "intimate apparel for his wife and daughter." He sent sizes and a credit-card number via email. The credit card was accepted and the order sent May 12 to a New Jersey address. On June 23, the credit card company denied the charge.
