Police Report: July 16

· A digital media player store scanner valued at $800 was taken from a back hallway at Sendik's, 10930 N. Port Washington Road, about 1:45 p.m. July 1. Surveillance video showed a white male putting the scanner into his pocket and leaving the store with another white male and driving off in a silver car.


· A 43-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended, failure to have insurance and failure to transfer title in the 7700 block of West Highland Road at 1:24 p.m. July 9. The man admitted buying the car over a year before and still had not transferred the title. Police found a large number of syringes, tourniquets and corner cut baggies with a white powder residue in the car.


· A 35-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, driving with both defective headlights and brake lights in the 10700 block of West County Line Road at 10:15 p.m. June 30. When followed by a squad car, the man pulled over onto the shoulder but didn't stop. The man had a BAC of 0.13.


· A 17-year-old Illinois girl was arrested for underage drinking after she was found with another female sitting in the grass at the closed BP Station, 11155 W. Wauwatosa Road at 2 a.m. July 8. She admitted to drinking at Summerfest.

· An 18-year-old Mequon man was cited July 9 for underage possession of alcohol which was purchased for him by a 23-year-old man at their place of employment, Metro Mart, 11558 N. Port Washington Road, about 5:30 p.m. July 7. Surveillance video showed the younger man giving money to the older man who then purchased two bottles of rum and both then left the store and within minutes came back without the rum. The 18-year-old was cited at his home where he turned over one bottle of rum saying he dropped the other bottle breaking it. The case is still being investigated.
