Police Report: Dec. 31

A 59-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft at Sendik's, 10930 N. Port Washington Road, at 6 p.m. Dec. 23. The woman took $100 that had been set aside near the credit card checker. She picked up the money and attempted to leave the store but was stopped and the money recovered.


A 61-year-old Mequon man was warned for dog at large after his dog ran out of the yard and threatened another dog being walked on a leash in the 3400 block of West Bonniwell Road at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 26. The man said he was looking for the remote for the shock collar when the dog ran out the door. No injuries were reported.

We Energies called police when a resident, a 35-year-old woman, would not open the door after a report of a gas leak in the 10500 block of North Elderberry Lane at 11:45 p.m. Dec. 26. The resident did open the door for police saying she was frightened. A gas leak found in the fireplace was fixed.
