Gold jewelry valued at about $300 along with $200 cash and possibly a .22-caliber handgun were taken from the 8700 block of West Donges Bay Road sometime 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 20. Rooms had been ransacked and clothing and other items were found on the floor. A window and door had signs of forced entry.
A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and, along with a 23-year-old Milwaukee woman, for violation of park hours at the Mequon Nature Preserve, 10000 N. Swan Road, at 12:37 a.m. Aug. 18. When police arrived, the man handed over a blunt. Neither had a license and their car was towed.
Two Milwaukee men, 33 and 43, were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 2800 block of West Donges Bay Road at 10:40 a.m. Aug. 18. The 43-year-old, who was driving, was also arrested for suspended registration, suspended license with three prior convictions and two counts of possession of prescription medicine without a prescription. The men were looking for a home where they had been hired to do tile work.
A 19-year-old Mequon man was arrested for possession of 3.7 grams of marijuana and a 19-year-old Thiensville man for possession of drug paraphernalia, a pipe, and both for violation of park hours at Riverview Park, 4200 Grace Ave., about 9 p.m. Aug. 18. The men were very cooperative and apologized for their actions.
A 34-year-old West Allis man was arrested for possession of 1.8 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, nonregistration and driving without a valid license on Freistadt Road at Ridgeway Avenue at 11:45 a.m. Aug. 20. The man said he was on his way to work. He also said he had just purchased the car and had not registered it yet.
A 16-year-old town of Cedarburg boy was arrested for possession of 2.8 grams of marijuana and a 50-year-old Milwaukee man for possession of 2 grams of marijuana after the car driven by the man was stopped for defective taillights in the 6200 block of West Highland Road at 1:30 a.m. Aug. 21. Two other teenagers were in the car.
A 39-year-old Watertown man was arrested for possession of 5.7 grams of marijuana, some in his car and some hidden in his sock, possession of a drug pipe and endangering safety while armed with a dangerous weapon and under the influence at the Mequon Nature Preserve, 10000 N. Swan Road, at 9:45 p.m. Aug 22. The man told police that he had a conceal carry permit and was carrying a loaded gun. He also said there was another loaded gun in the car. The man was also cited for violation of park hours along with a 36-year-old Menomonee Falls woman.
A 41-year-old Mequon woman was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, both found in her bathroom, in the 5500 block of West Hillcrest Drive at 2:20 a.m. Aug. 24. Police were called after she and her husband got into an argument. When they arrived, she told them he was a drug addict. It was then the man said where they could find her drugs.
Two Mequon men, 27 and 30, who were both driving to a friend's home, were arrested for driving under the influence, after the younger man rear-ended his friend's car in the 11000 block of North Oriole Lane at 9:53 p.m. Aug. 16. The 30-year-old, who told police he had a conceal carry permit and was carrying a loaded gun, was also arrested for endangering safety with a dangerous weapon while under the influence and for expired registration. The younger man was also arrested for possession of marijuana and admitted smoking the drug earlier. Both were taken for a blood draw.
A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, driving without a valid license and lane deviation in the 2100 block of West Mequon Road at 4 a.m. Aug. 17. His blood alcohol content was 0.08.
A 21-year-old Mequon man was arrested for drunken driving, and driving left of center in the 12200 block of North Portland Avenue at 3:10 a.m. Aug. 19. He said he had been at a 'late night party' and had about two drinks. His BAC was 0.14.
A 44-year-old Germantown man was arrested for drunken driving, with two prior convictions, drunken driving with passengers under 16, driving left of center and open intoxicants in the 7400 block of West Donges Bay Road at 1:16 a.m. Aug. 22. The man said he and the three juveniles, ages 13 to 14, had been on a camping trip in Michigan and had taken the lake ferry that evening. A soda bottle holding alcohol was found. The man denied drinking, failed field sobriety tests and had a preliminary BAC of 0.191. The children were turned over to their parents and the man was taken for a blood draw
A 15-year-old Mequon boy was arrested for underage drinking, resisting arrest and battery to medical personnel, a felony, after a report of a highly intoxicated male rolling in the grass in the 10600 block of North River Road the afternoon of Aug. 15. The boy was 'extremely combative,' spit at rescue personnel and threatened to kill them and police officers. He had to be restrained and a spit hood was placed over his head. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and hours later apologized for his behavior.
A 29-year-old Grafton man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after his car was stopped in the 6100 block of West Executive Drive at 1:10 p.m. Aug. 16. A spoon and part of a syringe both with white powder residue, which is being tested, were found in his backpack.
A 60-year-old Glendale man was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, unsafe lane deviation, nonregistration and failure to wear a seat belt in the 4300 block of West Mequon Road at 2 a.m. Aug. 20. The man, who was 'extremely confused' and failed field sobriety tests, said he was on various medications. He had preliminary BAC of 0.00 and was taken for a blood draw.
