A large reindeer Christmas decoration valued at $50 was taken from a yard in the 700 block of West Zedler Lane on Dec. 9 or 10.

A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft and disorderly conduct/domestic violence related at 12:10 p.m. Dec. 13. The man fled the residence before police arrived but was found. At that time he gave a false name but was recognized as a man police had been looking for as a suspect in the theft of lottery tickets from the Clark Station, 10355 N. Port Washington Road, on June 11. The man had been identified through surveillance video taken as he tried to cash those tickets in Milwaukee June 13.


Two Milwaukee men, 18 and 20, were arrested for possession of marijuana and the 18-year-old also for possession of drug paraphernalia after a report of suspicious activity in a car outside MATC, 5555 W. Highland Road, at 1 p.m. Dec. 7. The men, both students, admitted smoking "weed" in the car.

A 31-year-old Manitowoc man was arrested for possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended and failure to have insurance in the 9600 block of Interstate 43 at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 8. Canine officer Vero was called to the scene and hit aggressively in the car where a camera case holding 0.2 grams of heroin, a morphine pill, foil and syringes were found. Two male passengers, 27 and 31 of Milwaukee, were arrested for parole violations.

A 46-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a license, resisting arrest and failure to stop for a light in the 5000 block of West Mequon Road at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 11. Various drug paraphernalia was found including syringes and a tourniquet. An arrest for possession of heroin is pending while a substance appearing to be that drug, also found in the car, is being tested.


A 51-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for drunken driving and driving left of center at Cedarburg and County Line roads at 1:15 a.m. Dec. 8 The man, who failed field sobriety tests, had a blood alcohol content of 0.11.

A 23-year-old Cedarburg man was arrested for drunken driving and lane deviation after crossing into oncoming traffic and hitting a car on Port Washington and Liebau roads at 2 a.m. Dec. 9. There were no injuries since the driver of the other car was able to slow down and pull over before the collision. The man said he had "a few drinks" and participated in a "power hour": drinking alcohol every minute for an hour. He failed field sobriety tests, had a preliminary BAC of 0.256 and was taken for a blood draw.


An 18-year-old Arizona man, and three males and one female, all 19, from Wisconsin, California and Minnesota, and all Concordia students, were arrested for underage drinking as they sat in a car in the 1100 block of West Highland Road at 4:34 a.m. Dec. 9. The 18-year-old, the driver, was also arrested for expired registration and speeding. Their preliminary BACs ranged from 0.022 to 0.12.

A 22-year-old Mequon man was arrested for battery/domestic violence related after pushing his wife, causing injury at midnight Dec. 14. The victim signed a 72-hour no contact order.



A 59-year-old Thiensville man was cited for discharging a firearm in the village limits in about the 5900 block of Crescent Lane on Dec. 10. A 50-year-old Thiensville woman was walking near a retention pond with her dogs and heard a projectile fly past her head. She saw a man with a rifle walk into his home nearby. The man told police he was shooting his BB gun at a squirrel and didn't know the woman was in the area.

A 71-year-old Thiensville woman reported charges on her Visa card that she did not authorize on Dec. 14. She had used the card the day before but it was missing from her purse. More than $200 in charges were made for gas and another convenience store. The card was canceled and the investigation continues.
