Police Report: May 14

A burglary was reported at a dental clinic in the 10500 block of North Port Washington Road on May 9 or 10. The office was ransacked and a cash box and laptop computer taken. A back door was forced open to gain entry.


A purse and contents including a wallet, credit cards and $150 cash was taken from a car at Homestead High School, 5000 W. Mequon Road, before 4:30 p.m. May 4. Some of the credit cards were used in Milwaukee at a gasoline station and a Target. The purse had been left in plain sight and a window was smashed to gain entry.

A wallet was taken from an office at Wilson School, 11001 N. Buntrock Ave., during the day May 8. Before the theft was discovered, the victim's debit card was used to purchase more than $1,000 of items at various stores including a West Allis pharmacy and a Target store. Surveillance video shows a man entering the school at 3:31 p.m. and leaving at 3:35 p.m.


An 18-year-old Thiensville man was arrested for absolute sobriety, possession of hydrocodone without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, underage drinking, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and refusal to take a breath test as he exited Interstate 43 at Pioneer Road at 11 p.m. May 5. A 21-year-old Cedarburg man, a passenger, was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

A 21-year-old Mequon woman was arrested for driving while impaired, possession of drug paraphernalia, lane deviation and making an illegal right turn in the 11200 block of North Port Washington Road at 5:15 p.m. May 6. A heroin kit was found in the car containing a spoon, syringe and tourniquet. She was taken for a blood draw.


A 44-year-old Thiensville man was arrested for drunken driving and improper right turn after a 911 call reporting an impaired driver at Mequon and Wauwatosa roads at 7:30 p.m. May 5. The man admitted having four beers at a relative's home and was taken for a blood draw.


A 20-year-old Mequon man was arrested for disorderly conduct after causing a disturbance in the 6100 block of West Mequon Road at 3:45 p.m. May 5.

A resident reported getting a call at noon May 6 from area code 876, Jamaica, saying he won $2 million. The man was told that he would receive the money after he purchased a $500 CVS Pharmacy gift card and called back so it could be picked up at his home. When he questioned the caller, the caller became angry and hung up.

An 18-year-old Potter, Wis., woman was arrested for underage drinking after being found unresponsive in a hallway at Concordia University, 12800 N. Lake Shore Drive, at 12:05 a.m. May 6. The woman was taken to a hospital.

A 20-year-old Amery, Wis., man was arrested for underage drinking after the car he was in was stopped for a defective taillight lamp in the 1500 block of West Mequon Road at 2:45 a.m. May 11. The driver, a 20-year-old Williamsville, Ill., woman, was cited for that defective taillight and no proof of insurance. She has 15 days to correct those citations.



Two 15-year-old youths, one from Thiensville, one from Mequon, were arrested for possession of marijuana in the 100 block of North Main Street at 8:33 p.m. May 12.


A 55-year-old Mequon woman was cited for animal at large after her dog bit a man in the leg while he was at Thiensville Village Park at 9:50 a.m. May 9. The dog owner fled after the incident, but she was contacted and cited. She must produce a rabies vaccination record for the dog as well.

A 53-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after the restaurant he was in the 400 block of North Main Street ran out of fish for its all-you-can-eat fish fry at 7:41 p.m. May 11. The man had already consumed 12 pieces of fish when informed the restaurant had run out and could not substitute any other fish. The man then refused to pay his bill. After the restaurant gave him eight more pieces of fish to go, he paid his bill. The man returned to the restaurant on May 13 with a picket sign protesting the restaurant's poor business practices.
