Police Report: May 6

An attempted burglary was reported in the 300 block of West Aster Lane from noon to about 2 p.m. April 30. Pry marks were found on a window but entry was not gained.

Jewelry valued at more than $10,000 was taken from the 11000 block of North Crestline Road before 8:20 p.m. April 30. There was sign of forced entry.


Two 15-year-old Milwaukee girls were arrested, one for operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent, driving without a valid license, failure to stop, reckless driving and felony fleeing and the other for party to the crime of operating a motor vehicle without owner's consent and felony fleeing at Mequon and Cedarburg roads at 3:45 p.m. May 3. They were in a van stolen from Milwaukee and inside it were items reportedly stolen from Brown Deer. The driver admitted she had taken the van. The girls were turned over to Brown Deer police.


A 25-year-old Mequon man was arrested for drunken driving and driving left of center in the 6100 block of West County Line Road at 2:45 a.m. April 28. The man appeared "confused" and admitted having three beers and a shot. His blood alcohol content was 0.11.

A 31-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and driving while suspended after another driver reported him weaving in traffic at Mequon and Port Washington roads at 5:15 a.m. April 28. The man, who spoke little English, said he was lost. His BAC was 0.17 and he was taken for a blood draw.

A 22-year-old Port Washington man was arrested for drunken driving, with a prior conviction, driving after revocation and left of center in the 14400 block of North Green Bay Road at 2:35 a.m. May 3. The man had a preliminary BAC of 0.108 and was taken for a blood draw.


A 15-year-old Mequon boy was turned over to juvenile authorities on allegations of possession of drug paraphernalia and damage to property in the 4200 block of Le Grande Boulevard after a relative came to the police department at 10 a.m. April 28 with a water bong homemade by the boy. The boy reportedly damaged a door knob at the home.

A 25-year-old Green Bay man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, with three previous drug arrests, driving while suspended, failure to have insurance and not wearing a seat belt on Mequon Road at Lilac Lane at 8 p.m. April 29. The man, who was on probation, locked his car and when it was unlocked police found a syringe and other paraphernalia which are being tested for drug residue. An 18-year-old Grafton man, who arrived to pick up the suspect, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

During the last six months, residents have turned in over 560 pounds of prescription and other medication for disposal at Concordia University and Mequon Police Department.



Several used pairs of brake rotors and used shocks, value unknown, were taken from a storage area during normal store hours at a business in the 100 block of South Main Street at 1:39 p.m. May 2. The business holds onto the items and sells them to a recycler.


A 59-year-old Thiensville man was arrested for disorderly conduct in the 100 block of North Orchard Street at 7:46 a.m. May 4. A parent of a student that attends a local school, pulled onto the approach of a driveway of the Thiensville man to drop off her daughter's backpack before her daughter boarded a school bus. The student has a medical condition that restricts the child from carrying the backpack. As the mother got out of the vehicle and took the backpack across the street, the 59-year-old Thiensville man came out of his residence and removed the keys from the ignition of the van. A 7-year-old was in the vehicle when the man opened the van door and removed the keys, the child is another daughter of the van's owner. Upon further investigation, the vehicle was within the village right of way, not of the homeowner's property.
