Police Report: April 16

Two burglaries were reported at two residences in the 9900 block of North Baehr Road, one April 4 or 5 and one April 5 or 6. Various tools and yard equipment valued at $750 were taken from an unsecured shed and hand tools including socket wrenches valued at more than $2,000 from an unsecured barn.


Copper grounding plates were taken from the base of cell towers at 10436 and 11800 N. Port Washington Road on March 14 to April 6. The value of the plates was unavailable.

A wallet was taken from a purse left unattended in a cart at Sendik's, 10930 N. Port Washington Road, about 6:45 p.m. April 10.

A pile of cut wood, value not listed, was taken from the 6400 block of West Freistadt Road on April 11 or 12.

A log splitter valued at $1,300 was taken from a side yard in the 12300 block of West Highland Road before 6:15 p.m. April 12.


A 51-year-old Mequon man was arrested for drunken driving, with a prior conviction, and failure to dim bright lights in the 5000 block of West Pioneer Road at 2 a.m. April 8. The man failed field sobriety tests and was taken for a blood draw.


Three boys, two of Mequon, one of Thiensville, were cited for disorderly conduct after throwing rocks from the roof of Piggly Wiggly, 6017 N. Mequon Road, about 4:15 p.m. April 7. No damage was reported.

An 18-year-old Wauwatosa man and a 19-year-old Milwaukee man were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after a witness reported them sitting in a truck at Mequon Nature Preserve, 10000 N. Swan Road, at 9 p.m. April 12. A canister with marijuana residue was found in the car.



An unknown amount of cash was taken from a business in the 200 block of South Main Street before 6:37 a.m. April 12. The owners of the business discovered the drawer from the cash register was removed and a side door was ajar. Pry marks were found on a door lock.
