Police Report: April 9

A 29-year-old Grafton woman was the victim of a strong-armed robbery as she walked out of a building in the 1400 block of West Mequon Road at 1:15 p.m. April 4. An unknown person grabbed the gold and diamond necklace she was wearing and fled. During the robbery, the assailant hit the woman in the face causing injury. The value of the necklace was not available.


A stainless steel refrigerator, decorative mirrors and wire patio chairs valued at more than $1,000 and $400 cash were taken from Jalapeno Loco, 10401 N. Cedarburg Road, on March 29 or 30. There was sign of forced entry.

A burglary was reported in the 11700 block of West Bonniwell Road on March 31 or April 1. There was sign of forced entry but nothing was reported taken.


A purse was taken after being left in a shopping cart outside Metro Mart, 11158 W. Port Washington Road, about noon April 1. A woman had unloaded her cart but forgot her purse. When she realized she had left it, she returned to the store about 2 p.m. and the theft was reported.


Two 19-year-old town of Cedarburg men, one driving, one a passenger, were arrested for possession of marijuana and underage drinking in the 11100 block of Interstate 43 at 2 a.m. March 31. The driver was also arrested for absolute sobriety and defective taillights. When the passenger was asked for his ID, he fumbled in his pocket and his wallet fell out along with a bag with 6.6 grams of marijuana. Another 2.2 grams of marijuana was found in the driver's backpack.

Two Mequon boys, 15 and 17, were arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, the 17-year-old on two counts, and both with an added arrest for possession with intent to deliver on school property at Homestead High School, 5000 W. Mequon Road, at 1:45 p.m. April 5. Another 15-year-old boy was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and carrying a concealed weapon, a knife, found in his backpack. The 17-year-old had sold the drug, a Schedule II narcotic, to the other two boys, one on campus and one off. The first 15-year-old old admitted he intended to sell the drug at school and the other said he wanted it for his own use.


A 49-year-old Cedarburg man was arrested for drunken driving, possession of marijuana, with a prior conviction, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to have insurance and lane deviation in the 11300 block of North Cedarburg Road at 12:45 a.m. March 31. A foil pipe with marijuana was found by Cedarburg's canine unit. The man was uncooperative while attempting a breath test and was taken for a blood draw.

A 41-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and unreasonable speed after driving into a ditch at Cedarburg Road at Bayberry Parkway at 9 p.m. March 31. When police arrived, the man was seen stumbling down the road. He admitted having "too much" to drink and was taken for a blood draw.

A 37-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, driving while suspended, with three prior convictions, after weaving in traffic at Cedarburg and County Line roads at 1:55 a.m. April 1. His preliminary blood alcohol content was 0.139 and he was taken for a blood draw.

A 32-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, driving after revocation, bail jumping and possession of both a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia on Mequon Road at Eastgate Drive at 1:33 p.m. April 2. The man's rear plate was unreadable and he admitted covering it with mud because it was expired. The man had Adderall and Suboxone and a hollowed out pen with residue. He said a doctor had prescribed the medicine and also said his doctor told him to "snort" it.


A thermal pane window was broken at a demolition site in the 6200 block of West Mequon Road on March 31 to April 3. Damage was estimated at $300.

Two Mequon boys, 16 and 17, were arrested this week for damage to property and ordered to make restitution for damaging mailboxes, yard lights and a car window that occurred in the 700, 10600 and 10800 blocks of North Haddonstone Place on March 23 and 24. The boys were caught on surveillance video damaging the property and were able to be identified. When arrested, they admitted being involved.


A 43-year-old Hartford man is a suspect for disorderly conduct after a witness reported him firing a BB gun almost hitting an employee in the parking lot of Columbia St. Mary's Ozaukee Hospital, 13111 N. Port Washington Road, at 1:45 p.m. April 2. The man had more than one BB gun in his car.



A 51-year-old Cedarburg man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, in the 100 block of North Main Street after his vehicle was seen speeding and weaving in traffic at 1:51 a.m. April 3. It took the man two minutes to roll his window down and when he exited his vehicle he had to use the door to steady himself. His preliminary BAC was 0.22.

A 54-year-old Thiensville man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, in the 200 block of East Freistadt Road after his vehicle was seen bouncing off curbs and crossing the solid yellow no passing lines at 1:35 a.m. April 6. When asked for his insurance card and driver's license, the man gave the officer restaurant coupons. He failed field sobriety tests and refused to take a breath test. Blood was drawn at St. Mary's Ozaukee.
