Mother, sons charged in heroin case

A 51-year-old Mequon woman, her 20- and 26-year-old sons and a 21-year-old man, all arrested on charges involving heroin and prescription drugs, were charged Monday in Ozaukee County Circuit Court.

According to a criminal complaint, the woman, Terry L. Schultz, was charged with maintaining a drug trafficking place. Her son, Wayne R. Schultz, 26, was charged with multiple counts of manufacturing, possession with intent to deliver and delivery of heroin and bail jumping.

Cody E. Schultz, 20, was charged with manufacturing and delivery of heroin, party to a crime, and Kyle D. Betts, 21, was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, party to a crime, and two counts of delivery of prescription drugs.

According to the complaint, the charges stem from a two-week investigation involving drug purchases by an Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office undercover officer.

Bail was set at $2,000 for Terry Schultz, $15,000 for Wayne Schultz, $10,000 for Cody Schultz and $7,500 for Betts, according to online state court records.

All four were in custody Monday in the Ozaukee County Jail, a jail official said.
