What, all?

Life is an unhappy business, even if dedicated to coming generations and even for the superior search for wisdom or the accumulation of power and wealth. “It is but stirring after wind.”  “All is madness and folly” All is narcissism, arrogance and in the end futility.

Emperors, kings, political leaders and the constant observers and the reporters of their actions, attempting to find meaning in their comparable achievements and in their superiority, all equally mad, as is this short manifestation at wisdom, all acts of vanity.

For as it has been previously observed, “all is vanity,” vanity, better sounding than madness and especially better in tone than foolishness.
